Ballydermot, Clonsast, Derrygreenagh, Lullymore and Timahoe (Bord na Móna)

The various interlinked systems to the West of Offaly and East of Kildare feature some marked contrasts- most of the lines in the Allenwood area are disused (including the famous lifting bridge over the Grand Canal), while only a few miles away at Edenderry power station it is possible to view nearly non-stop action.
